For larger ant species, such as various Camponotus species, we recommend combining it with one of our separately available cork nests. However, the nest can also be filled with soil substrate.

The cover can be removed and sits firmly and securely on the ant farm thanks to its rubberized edge. In the middle is a 27 mm hole, which is used to moisten the inside of the nest. Depending on the desired humidity, this opening can be closed with either a mesh insert or a formicarium plug.

A red cover is available as an option, which darkens the nest and, depending on the species kept, can have a positive influence on the development of the colony.

Catatan tentang soket koneksi
Saat memasang atau melepas selang, harap perhatikan hal-hal berikut ini:
Jika selang sangat sulit untuk masuk ke dalam soket sambungan, soket harus digosok sedikit dengan setetes minyak atau bubuk pelindung dari breakout. Selang kemudian harus didorong ke konektor dengan memutar atau mengencangkannya, tanpa memberikan tekanan ke atas atau ke bawah pada konektor. Hal yang sama juga berlaku ketika melepaskan selang dari konektor. Harap jangan menariknya begitu saja!
