These starter sets contain three escape-proof glass cubes. Leafcutter ants cut and collect leaves from plants. They feed the collected leaves to a fungus that they grow in their nest.
The fungus serves as food for the queen and the brood. The first glass cube is the feeding area, the second is for the fungus and the third is where the ants can dispose of their waste.
