Cette pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence est probablement due \u00e0 la raret\u00e9 relative des sources de prot\u00e9ines fra\u00eeches dans leurs habitats naturels.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\n<\/div>\n<p>Dans le cadre d'une exp\u00e9rience contr\u00f4l\u00e9e, nous avons pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 <i>C. nicobarensis<\/i> avec les larves du col\u00e9opt\u00e8re Tenebrio molitor. Les fourmis ont observ\u00e9 les larves \u00e0 plusieurs reprises, mais au lieu d'attaquer imm\u00e9diatement, elles ont h\u00e9sit\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s quelques rencontres, elles ont tent\u00e9 de tuer la larve. Cependant, leurs efforts se sont av\u00e9r\u00e9s insuffisants et la larve a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 s'\u00e9chapper en s'enfouissant sous terre. Ce comportement sugg\u00e8re que <i>C. nicobarensis<\/i> n'est pas particuli\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 la pr\u00e9dation active, pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant se nourrir de mani\u00e8re opportuniste sur
