The aim is to promote environmental protection and ensure the recycling of valuable raw materials.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><b> legal obligations for consumers<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Prohibition of disposal in residual waste<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Old electrical appliances may not be disposed of in residual waste.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Obligation to return<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of used waste electrical and electronic equipment at municipal collection centres (\u00d6RE &#8211; public waste disposal authorities) or in appropriate take-back systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Pollutants and recycling<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Old electrical appliances can contain harmful substances that can damage the environment and health if not stored or disposed of properly.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time, they contain valuable raw materials such as iron, plastic, silver or glass, which can be recycled.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>3 Which devices are affected? <\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ElektroG applies to most electrical and electronic appliances that are powered by electricity or electromagnetic fields. These include, among others:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Climate computer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heating mats and cables<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Digital thermometer and hygrometer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Humidifiers (foggers)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fan<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A complete list of the categories concerned is contained in the current legal directive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>4 Labelling of affected devices <\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Products that fall under the ElektroG are marked with the symbol of a <\/span><b>crossed-out dustbin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This indicates that the appliance must not be disposed of with residual waste, but must be disposed of via collection centres or take-back systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>5 ANTSTORE&#8217;s obligations under the ElektroG <\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ANTSTORE has implemented all obligations under the ElektroG to ensure environmentally sound disposal:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li
